after making a great impression with its first ep, giant records serves up a second hot helping of house music from boss man grant dell, complete with fresh remixes by scottish techno stalwarts silicone soul. dell, also known as chicago transit authority, has been doing his do for 25 years now. as a dj he is at home in clubs in ibiza and barcelona as well as around the rest of europe, and is someone who always prefers to push his own brand of widely infused and influenced music than his own profile. once again here he comes up trumps with the emotive, glowing house cut �in your mind�. with a neat bassline and mid tempo house drums, subtle but effective synth smears add warmth and colour to the groove, whilst soul fuelled vocals add a real sense of personality. this is sure to get people grooving at any hour and comes with grant�s own space echo remix. as the title suggests it�s a more dubby and reverb rich affair with cosmic signifiers and sci-fi vibes pervading from start to finish. silicone soul need little introduction having been at the heart of real deep house and techno for decades on the soma label. their first remix is a darkroom dub - named after their own label - and is a seductively slo-mo and lazily unfolding house cut with languid synths that really suck you in. their lush hypnohouse mix is then a twinkling, late night bit of melodically rich deep house with starry skies twinkling above sombre chords. this is a patiently served but hugely alluring ep that is stuffed with plenty of tender feeling. one again then, both grant and giant have come up with the goods.

getwet comes back with the second release, after a very well received first 12- who got played in some of the most forward thinking dancefloors in eu, japan and usa. the opener is a majestic track from the caribbean house, side project of billy bogus teamed up with federico bologna, from seminal technogod and ohmega tribe project, and cristiano santini, from legendary italian act disciplinatha. what came out is an outstanding blend of new wave & slow motion disco, strictly for midnight vultures.

we started the classic series featuring tracks that we love, bought, played out and which we have the feeling more people should know about them. for this first edition, it is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the chicago house scene: mr k alexi shelby! at the age of 12 he was already moving in the right circles, befriending frankie knuckles and ron hardy whilst frequenting the famous warehouse. his upbringing in chicago in the 70s and 80s meant that he was exposed to a range of genres and different styles of music including stevie wonder, prince, curtis mayfield and david huff. these same names would prove to be the roots of his influences. this projet includes two classic and timeless moments of chicago house & techno music.

why stop when youve got a good thing going? that was our reasoning, at least, behind gp286v, a special vinyl release inspired by the crazy goodness that was roach motels, the night ep. released alongside a handful of great remixes by the likes of tuff city kids, fred everything and felix da housecat, this vinyl edition of the night has put their old-school-leaning 7 minutes of popping rhythm heaven on wax for all the black gold enthusiasts to enjoy.

a couple of years into honing their skills in the studio and behind the booths, the very dynamic duo known as andhim returns to get physical to present us with �spayce, the latest specimen of their self-christened super house genre. raised on a steady diet of hip hop and jazz, the cologne-native pair have proven to many far and wide that they are entertainers at heart and envelope-pushers by nature. taking turntables where they seldom go to turn them into instruments, as well as the heavy use of samples and real-world inspiration to set their own creations apart, its fair to say that �spayce is just another example of the duos eclectic, eccentric inclinations. two tracks long and spanning from dance floor epic to quirky by way of some particular glitch, piano work and musical hiccups, �spayce ep is a very sweet addition to an already original discography.
